Jason Trice
Jason Trice founded Llano Estacado Land in 2019 so he could focus on helping families secure generational wealth by partnering them with clean energy opportunities. Prior to that, he was responsible for the successful construction of thousands of miles of electrical transmission lines and substations for the nation’s second largest utility company.
During his utility construction career, Jason earned the respect of hundreds of landowners, colleagues, and utility company executives throughout Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, and beyond. Jason always prioritized building meaningful relationships with landowners, which underscored his commitment to the people and land of the region. Jason’s experience and depth of knowledge has allowed him to serve as a trusted guide for local landowners as they explore ways to ensure generational financial security.
Jason has both leadership and foot-on-the-ground experience in civil construction, vegetation and wildlife rehabilitation management, and stormwater implementation and management. He’s overseen the construction of dozens of new and rebuilt electrical substations. He completed distribution construction projects, managed large fleets of major construction equipment, and managed pipeline and directional drilling projects.
He has significant experience in catastrophic mitigation, including weather-related utility outages and flooding. He spent two years helping rebuild the infrastructure along the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina.
Jason has worked with federal, state and local government legislators and regulators and knows how to navigate policies. He’s worked closely with the Bureau of Land Management, New Mexico State Lands, SWPPP, the Texas Commission on Environment Quality, among others.
Jason and his wife Kari have four children and live in Canyon, Texas. An avid steward of the land, Jason enjoys spending free time hunting, raising cattle, and spending time with his family.
